[It takes a long time for Rey to decide what she wants to do with the things that Rohan left behind at her doorstep. She can't just get rid of them, not when she's so against waste and someone should get use out of the art supplies, so at first they sit inside the Millennium Falcon and get no use.
This lasts until the end of the day, when Rey has torn a power compressor out of the Falcon while cursing Unkar Plutt's name colorfully, and she's staring at the wires and the connections and realizes it might not hurt to get it all down on paper. The compressor is a good one despite the fact that it has no business doing on a ship like the Falcon, so it won't hurt to have a diagram with the parts labeled.
Hours later she's sitting on the floor with page after page of ship part meticulously sketched and shaded and feeling oddly relaxed. Before when she drew it was for a journal she never really expected anyone to see, something to keep her occupied during sand storms or at night when she couldn't sleep. Now it seems like the oddest thing to do just for fun, but... well, she's having fun. She's enjoying herself, and it's thanks to Rohan.
Which is why, when he leaves his room the next day, he'll open his door to find a carefully rolled up sketch of the Millennium Falcon. It's not perfect, but it's her favorite thing in the world she's giving him a picture of. It seems like a good way to thank him.]
